Inline attachments, draggable dependencies and scheduling link improvements

We have a bunch of pretty cool upgrades and improvements lined up for you in this update. Let's dive in.

Inline attachments

Last update we already shared that we extended our text editor to support more elements, such as lists and quotes. Now we also added the option to drag attachments into the editor as well. We support both images and files, and it works in descriptions and comments.

We know writing is a big part of moving tasks and projects forward, and we definitely missed the support for this ourselves. Hope you'll enjoy it as well!

Drag to create dependencies

We released visual dependencies, but creating those dependencies was still a bit of a struggle. Not anymore! Now you can simply drag to create those connections. Hover over the scheduled task and click to drag those links.

Improved scheduling links: multiple durations and physical location

Thanks for continuing to share feedback on our scheduling links too. We added two improvements: you can now select multiple possible durations for a scheduling link, which results in a dropdown so the people booking can select an appropriate duration. We also added the option to specify a physical location.

Other improvements and fixes

  • Improvement: you can now change the description of cross-calendar blocks, so you can give your teammates a bit more context about why that event is there
  • Improvement: all day tasks now have the duration field set to allow change it in days
  • Improvement: we no longer show deactivated members in assignee
  • Fixed: when dragging the windows app around the screen, the window would flicker
